Searching for new amazing restaurants in London’s prestigious area of Kensington but not sure where to go? Check out our top pick of the best restaurants to dine in.

Kensington is one of central London’s most elegant neighbourhoods and home to some of the most desirable properties in the capital. There’s so much to do with an abundance of hidden streets and mews, you can go a whole weekend without having to venture out of Kensington, with countless high quality restaurants where you’ll be able to treat your taste buds.

Director and Founder of Interlet Group of companies, Sham Devi De Marco is a guru of the Kensington area and has offered her expertise in which eateries you must visit.

Zaika – If you’re looking for high-quality Indian cuisine in a distinctive setting… Look no further! You would be hard-pushed to find anywhere more accommodating than Zaika restaurant in Kensington. Zakia sits on the edge of Kensington Garden, with pleasing views to match your meals. The 2AA Rosette holding restaurant offers enjoyable Northern Indian food presented in a spectacular way! The restaurant’s wood panelled walls and high ceilings lend to the magnificence of the place while the food speaks for itself. In Sham’s own words ‘everything I tried was thriving with different flavours, with such gentle textures and was wonderfully presented.’

Dishoom – Scrumptious food and its own themed immersive theatre show? Yes please! The London chain of popular curry restaurants are always given a backstory that helps apprise their design, but Dishoom Kensington takes this a step further, with theatre brought to life around diners as you eat. It makes for a tremendously entertaining evening! The restaurant magnificently reconstructs a Bombay Art Deco building of the 1940s, and it definitely helps to be plied with indulgent fluffy naan and Dishoom’s signature biryani and spicy mutton.

Café Phillies – Café Phillies describes their café as a ‘cute café and wine bar on a quiet street.’  Interlet totally agrees! Concealed away from the busy streets of Kensington the café has its own cheerful, welcoming and calm appeal.  Sham: “When I’ve had a busy day at the office, this is my safe haven I can go and unwind to an amazing cup of coffee.” Tip: The banana cake served warm is heavenly!

Yashin Sushi – For anyone who likes sushi, visiting Yashin is essential.  Original and contemporary sushi restaurant with an ever-changing list of rare and seasonal ingredients. You will find a sushi topped with things like parmesan, truffle, and yuzu salt. The rest of the menu also presents precision and innovation. The wine lists are extensive and well selected, and the service is what you’d anticipate from an elegant and refined dining establishment.

The Ivy Kensington Brasserie – The feel at the Ivy is of a classic dining establishment, shimmering with style. Although the Ivy feels easy and relaxed it’s a ballroom of a place: white tablecloths, formal waiting staff with booths of dark leather. On the menu, they offer all-day international comfort food – including the classic shepherd’s pie. The staff are expert! They miss nothing and remember all.
